Areas of specialismI have worked in the mental health field for close to thirty years. My experience includes managing a therapeutic community for people recovering from mental illness, under the umbrella of the Richmond Fellowship and coordinating a counselling service (Enfield Counselling Service).
Since 2001 I have been working for WPF Therapy in a variety of roles. As a Specialist Practitioner in Severe and Enduring Psychological Disorders, seminar leader and, since 1996, as a Training Supervisor of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in training.
I have also done EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) short-term focused counselling for employers providing counselling for their staff since 1994.
Posso anche offrire un servizio di terapia in lingua italiana.
I can offer therapy in Italian.
Personal approachMy orientation is Jungian and I am committed to finding a way of working with each person that takes into account their individual needs. I aim to provide an environment in which it is safe to explore and in which an individual story can unfold.
Sometimes the roots of our problems are in the past, but our present circumstances and our aspirations and ideals also play a role. An increase in awareness often brings the possibility of change and freedom from repetitive patterns of behaviour.
Although my approach is Jungian, I do not subscribe to any particular theory. I would never try to fit you in a pigeon hole. I have at my disposal a wide range of techniques from different theoretical models, which I freely draw on according to the needs of the individual.
I am committed and interested in continuing to learn from cutting edge developments in the field.
